Spectrum Energy helped secure more than $344,000 in utility incentives for a lighting project upgrade projected to save more than 1.3 million kilowatt-hours annually.
May 15, 2026 – Spectrum Energy received the Largest Custom Project Award at the 2025 Delmarva Power Service Provider Awards, recognizing the service provider that achieved the greatest energy savings through a single custom energy upgrade project completed as part of Delmarva Power’s Energy Savings for Business Program.
The project included horticulture under canopy lighting upgrades projected to save more than 1.3 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity annually and secured more than $344,000 in utility incentives through the program.
Working closely with the customer and Delmarva Power, Spectrum developed a customized solution that improved energy performance while maximizing available incentives.
Delmarva Power presented the award during its annual Service Provider Awards ceremony on May 15. The program recognizes service providers, customers and Delmarva Power partners that help advance energy-efficiency projects across the commercial and industrial sectors.
“Custom energy projects require close collaboration between customers, utility programs, and the teams helping turn those opportunities into completion,” said Chet Knaup, President of Spectrum Energy. “We appreciate Delmarva Power’s recognition and value the role its program plays in helping customers reduce energy use and manage operating costs.”
The Delmarva Power Energy Savings for Business Program provides incentives for qualifying commercial and industrial energy-efficiency projects, helping customers reduce upfront project costs while lowering long-term energy use.
